Christmas Morning

Tessa loves to dress up! its a good thing we had her open
her Cinderella dress last because she wouldn't take it off all the rest of the day! (thanks Weston Blairs!)

Tessa shows off a toy car (compliments of the Bargin Barn-a branch off goodwill that charges 25 cents for all childrens toys and books! Its my favorite store!) MERRY CHRISTMAS TESSA!

Tessa rippin right into the presents. She was such a good present opener this year that she was opening present days before Christmas.. It got to be such a problem we had to hide them away.. and there i am of course not looking too good and not feeling too good. worst time of the year to be sick and pregnant!

So I took Tess for some pictures a JC pennys and they turned out so cute! i am so happy. When the lady took us back into the photo area & asked me what I wanted I said, "I will be happy if you get her to sit still and look at the camera just once for just a second. I dont expect a smile today, shes in one of her moods." But wow did she put on a show. I have never seen her sit so still and look so pretty.. i was in shock!

Aww yes. Believe it or not this girl can give a crusty look. And she was mad because we had to sit and wait for a while. But she Posed so pretty for the camera lady! She was picking her poses and she told the camera lady she wanted to sit in the chair and do this and do that. She looked adorable! I cant believe what a big girl she is.

Look thats my hand! You can even see my special stubby finger in Santa's glove! or the lack of finger! =) If you dont know the stubby figure story-your missing out.

Tessa's always good for a laugh!

You probably look at this picture and think oh what a sweet little innocent girl. But let me tell you, its all part of her plan- on the inside there is a 6 pack of mountain dew and some TNT! yeah no kidding! those who sit behind us in church can testify! She's a character! AND we love her to death! Every last drop!

THREE hundred and thirty-four years ago a proclamation was issued to a little group on the bleak shores of Plymouth to meet and worship and render thanksgiving to God. That was the first Thanksgiving in America.

It is well for us to think of that for which those Pilgrims had to be thankful. They had landed in the previous November, 1620, and many had to live on the ship throughout that winter, for they had neither suitable clothing nor shelter. Consequently, when they did go ashore and entered the cabins for the nineteen families, there were seven times more graves than there were houses for the living; and yet they had gratitude in their hearts for the blessings of God. I think those blessings consisted of faith and confidence in an Overruling Power; and truly the Lord had overseen their journey to Holland and their subsequent voyage across the sea. They had not forgotten his Divine Providence. Death to them was not a tragedy so long as they had that faith and freedom-the privilege of worshipping God as their conscience dictated. They were happy and thankful to find sufficient sustenance in the corn and barley they had planted. They were not practiced hunters at first. But they succeeded on that first Thanksgiving in securing from the forests turkeys and venison; and they had the friendship of the Indians-Chief Massasoit and his braves. They had in attendance a hundred per cent, I am sure, of their little group to worship that day and render gratitude.
