DAYS LIKE THAT

Today was just one of those days. Nothing seemed to work out! We decided to invest in a kiddy pool for Tessa. After several hours and several stores we were left feeling frustrated. Man what happened to those cheapy plastic tubs?? Everything is blow up and I didn't want to deal with that. Last year our popped in the weedy grass and every time i wanted to take it down i had to blow it up again.. it was a big pain.. So finally we can to a decision.. I'll post some swimming pictures next week i am sure i wont be able to get her out of it!

~~MONSTER SLUGS~~

These pictures don't do them justice.
So Nick and I have been keeping a running track of the biggest slugs we have seen.. Here are 2 monsters we found just the other night! Oh and I have learned not to leave my shoes outside.. I accidentally did one night and slipped them on in the morning to find a nice squishy feeling in between my toes! GROSS !

FUN WEEK!

Wow what a week! Audrey is one fun chick to hang out with..

So I had a blast with Audrey in town! We did a lot of fun things.. Check out what we did and saw:



We went to a Redbirds and ate some good ballpark food! I totally recommend the BBQ Nachos and the chicken fried tenders/fries! PS we had amazing behind home plate seats! THANKS AUD!

We went to Mud Island- rode the train, went through the River Boat Museum, and played in the water at the miniature Mississippi replica.



Oh and we saw Elvis.. i think he is a babe! See HOT GIRLS
ARE JUST DRAWN TO HIM!

We also hit Beale Street, Sun Studios and of course Famous Southern College of Optometry!
You cant hit Memphis without seeing that!




OH thats where I got the hottest Dr. in the world give me an eye exam. Bow chica bow bow!

YIPPY FOR A VISITOR!

Next week my college buddy Audrey is coming to visit Memphis! I am so excited to see her! College wouldn't be the same without her. She was practically my roommate (though we never actually shared an apartment).. I remember this one time she volunteered to cook my boyfriend and I a fancy dinner. Dinner was great! However the mash potatoes in the blender didn't quite turn out! So for all you experimenters out there-take my word for it. But thats Auds for ya! Always willing to be adventurous and try new things! So What do you recommend we go and do/see? Please I need your help. There are lots of museums and sights to see! What have you likes/disliked?

NICKS BIG WEEK!

This week Nick started seeing his first patients in the clinic! He was so excited and nervous so I am posting some cartoons in tribute to his first week of the rest of his life!

Break Projects

Nick and I had a long list of things to get done over the break. First Nick bought a shed at Lowe's and put it together! What a pain. I helped him and there were TONS of screws! The next project we were going to do was paint the house. Thanks to the weather we were NOT able to get that finished. We barely got the shed roof done on time before the storms came in.. But we managed to get a lot of priming done the one afternoon it didn't rain. I made nick paint one triangle so i could see what the color would look like.... and i DON'T like it.. Its blends too much into the trim. SO we are going to change that to a darker tan/beige /khaki color.. So thats what we did on our break. Obviously the 70's yellow is the before picture. Our whole house was yellow (inside and out) before we started updating!

I am so grateful to be a mom on Mothers Day! I thank Heavenly Father for all my blessings especially the gifts of my sweet Tessa and new baby on the way! I hope all of you mothers out there (and mothers to be) know how important you are and will be!
