Valentines Day Ward Dance

Last week our ward had a fun v-day dance. Tessa loves to dance so she just had a ball. She even found a little Romeo who swept her off her feet! Literally! They are the cutest little buddies! We all had alot of fun doing limbo and the conga line and just dancing the night away!

Pregnancy Update

So this week I went to the doctor (Monday) and he changed my Due date to August 3rd.. I had mixed emotions because that same thing happened with Tessa.. However Tessa came a week late! NIGHTMARE. I dont wish that upon anyone.. so all you ladies, who have babies weeks earily i hate you! j.k So.. upping the date makes me nervous. I would rather keep my old due date than have a baby come late.

anyway... so this pregnancy has been really pretty easy going. I am not stressed about the baby much. However the doc said my placenta is really thin and that makes him nervous. I have to rest and if it doesnt thicken as the baby grows i may be put on bedrest.. until then i am just to take it easy on my body. So.. thats whats been going on.. i hope i dont have to go on bedrest i dont know what I would do.. poor tessa!

ps I need boy name ideas! i am having the hardest time!

You see what happened was I was on the phone with family, and I thought nick was watching Tessa. Nick was studying and he thought I was watching tessa.

When nobody was watching:

She found a black permanent marker and colored all over herself.. My carpet got the most of it. BUT every thing in nicks lab coat was destroyed! (she colored all his eye charts and all his tools) most everything will now have to be replaced.. Luckily his white labcoat NOT even one little mark. My new bedspread got a strip down one side about a foot long and my laundry basket got a nice makeover. Needless to say: We were trying to hold in a smile while disaplining her. (She was in TIME OUT yet we are taking pictures of her like crazy!) LITTLE STINKER!

MY FIRST ULTRASOUND APPOINTMENT

Well today was our big day... AND it was drama drama.. First of all I met nick for lunch and we went to the appointment to find out I was really late.. But I wasnt.. I went when they told me to come.. but someone must have made a mistake in the computer and I was mad. I am a pretty puntual and reliable person.. Plus I had tessa and Nick come and we had been sitting around eating lunch for the last hour.. its not like we werent already down there. Anyway.. so we were lucky enough to get "squeezed in".. I kept praying the baby would cooperate so we could see the sex though I am still not very far along (15weeks).. And I wanted nick to be there for it.. I didnt want him missing anymore classes or feeling bad if he couldnt come to the next ultrasound. But my prayer was answered! Our little boy gave us a nice spead eagle shot so there was no mistaking tessa was going to have a brother.. Oh and tessa was SO funny through the whole ultrasound.. Nervous for mommy, and when we told her she was going to have a brother she kept yelling "WHAT" "WHAT" "WHAT!" kind of like she was like "what your kidding me".. but she was trying to tell us she had no idea what a brother was.. =) cute thing!

LOST and FOUND

So, I had recently lost my cell phone. (which happens pretty regularly..) But this time it was for sure the end. When I found my phone in whe washmachine while unloading the wet clothes in the dryer I was shocked! It of course looked nice and clean, but soaked through and dead.. i thought about just tossing it into the dryer. (HA!) considering the circumstance i think its pretty funny.. But in the next few weeks when i am without I might feel differently. Anyway.. SO as far as trying to contract me during the day.. for now.. its just email!

We made a nice little nest with pillow and blankets.. Tessa did get a little nervous but we read books to her and just snuggled down!

TORNADO

Well i decided to show you some of the images the news was showing us that was going on in our area. No i did NOT take these.. I am not a crazy storm chaser.. The more I look the more blessed i feel! Just thought you would like to see.. This bottom picture was taken from arlington. (a town just north east of us) That storm is coming to them now from Bartlett.

See it was really light out.. for the most part.. I didnt start getting nervous until night fell.

Left- This picture was taken off of 64/stage near wolfchase mall.. Thats pretty close to my house!

TOP: taken off of 240 (thats where my doctor is) i hope the clinic is ok.. i get my first ultra sound next week!

BOTTOM: This picture was taken in Barlett off on whitten and hillshire.. (date in camera is off but taken yesterday.) Yes. My address is off whitten too! again.. i am grateful for the prayers of everyone! see what they can do! we are safe and sound!

There are some utube videos in my area some people took! the sound on my computer isnt working. i hope there isnt any profanity! i am sure the people taking these videos were freaking out! Someone please comment and tell me if they are clean or not! Thanks!

DONT WORRY WE'RE ALIVE!

In case any of you have been watching the news and are worried. I want to let you know, we survived the storms.. Some people probabaly laughed it off.. but I was safe and sucure in the bathroom for about an hour while it passed.. Nothing wrong with taking shelter when the news says, "If you are in the Barlett area Take SHELTER NOW! THIS IS A LIFE OR DEATH SITUATION!" We got pretty nervous.. Pictures were taken of the tornado cells only miles from our house! We were extremely blessed however alot of our county had some pretty bad damage. When i woke of this morning i found debri in our yard and pieces of foam inslation the news said had blown as far as Bartlett from the the Hickery Ridge Mall. (that was the mall that the roof colapsed in.) Anyway.. thanks family and friends for you phone calls.. we are safe and well..

New, but Not new Car

Well, this last weekend we bought another car.. Since the Jeep broke down during Christmas break.. I said thats enough! I can not handle being trapped at home. I needed a way to get out! So.. we got blessed with an awsome opertunity and now I am free once again. Its actually not a new car at all its a 1995 nissa altima.. but you know if it had been a bucket of rust with wheels I would have loved it! But its a really good car in really good shape so i am really happy! so thats whats been going on around here..
But if you ever have to make that dreadful trip to the County Clerks Office. Dont take your Two year old! i have to wait for hours!


Oh and I finally got my medicaid.. YEP it took 46 days to come through.. so now i can finally get that ultrasound i have been putting off! thats next week and i will 15 weeks! (do you think they will be able to tell what the sex is????)
