BUILD YOUR OWN COUCH!

If you have never built your own couch, I TOTALLY recommend it! Nick and I have been married 5 yrs in June and still had hand me down couches. So we decided after months of debate to try out a website that lets you build your own couch.. I was so nervous! But I got to pick out the fabric and read the directions while my sweet husband took an hour off to put it together for me in between his finals. Isn't that so cool! I LOVE IT! Relief Society Lesson DONE!

Now I can finally relax! It might not seem like a big deal to some, but teaching Relief Society is a big scary job for me.. Today I did it! My stomach was upset, my legs were shaking, it was like SO much anxiety AND WHOOSH! It was all over. I survived. The funny thing was my lesson was on enduring to the end and I can honestly say I had endured this week. No really it was a struggle.

First of all, I got sick so I was fighting a cold all week, then Tessa of course was sick and nick and finals stress.. Then I threw my back out on Thursday (or had a kidney attack-they feel about the same to me) and Friday we put on our ward talent show so I had been really busy with that. I had taught my lesson a million times in my head every night because I couldnt fall asleep and couldnt stop thinking about it.. So hardly any sleep not to mention the three nasty cold sores from the stress on my bottom lip.. I was sure that I was meant to teach this lesson because the legions of hell where trying to drag me down. But I was determined! I was going to stand and give that lesson even if my legs were broken and they had to wheel me into teach! And I did it. I endured! =) Yippy my first relief society lesson went well and I was happy! I felt the spirit, I just hope that others felt it too!

I finally broke down and bought a gallon of bubble bath.. I had forgotten to a kid how much its loved! Tessa loves baths, just not washing her hair. The bubble bath has definitely helped in that department! Now if she wants her bubbles, we have to wash hair first then she can have them.. Nothing like a good old bribe!

FUNNY KID!

I have the strangest, silliest, craziest kid! Although, maybe we all think our own children are weird. This is a typical Tessa experiment! Maybe I should have put her in the ward talent show! She's always good for a laugh!

WARD TALENT SHOW

So tonight we had our Ward Talent Show. Wow it was a lot of work! I had no idea how much I'd love my new calling in the activities committee but I do! I am glad everything went well. We put on a Ward Talent show. We had a good turn out too! I think we had 20 people perform talents, ~15 people display talents and 20 people enter our Desert Bake Off Competition. I love this ward and how active it is!

Anyway.. So since I am not a performer and I can't bake, I decided to finish a craft project I had started almost two years ago. (I wanted to participated somehow) But I am happy because think it turned out pretty good. what do ya think?

DRESS UP

I thought these pictures were so cute! Tessa is really into dress up right now.. She loves crazy Halloween outfits and of course her princess dresses! What a silly little girl.. But its great for rainy days! Daddy even played along as tess dress him up too.. (well hes still studying but he plays along like a good daddy!)

I just noticed in the picture of my short hair that right behind my head is a pair of Tessa panties on the floor.. HILARIOUS! But anyway for those of you who maybe potty training soon.. I have but one tip of advice. TEACH THEM TO LEAVE THEIR CLOTHES ON! For some reason every time Tessa goes she has to strip down and it takes me forever to try and get her clothes back on again. I love that she is 100% potty trained and I am not complaining, just a though for all you moms out there.. Have a great day!

HAIR CHOPPED

Man, I don't know about you, but I have been SO HOT lately! Sleeping with the fan on even some nights. I know its the combination of the warm spring weather (which i love!) and the big pregnancy tummy (which i don't). So my long hair had to go. I knew it was only a matter of time so i decided this week to chop it off. I went to super cuts on stage and they did alright. I really don't like my hair short at all, but since i am use to it now its not so bad. I just never get exactly what i want so i stopped caring. Now I feeling much cooler and its a lot easier to do.. So that about it thats new with me. How's everyone else doing? Ps sorry its not a very good picture .. but since finals and all the practicals i am a one women show. Its hard to take a picture of yourself! =)
pss if i look tired its because I AM! my back and hips have been killing me and I cant sleep at night!

Long Evenings............

I have had some really long evenings this week.. Since finals are just around the corner I have been husbandless. He is doing awesome staying late at the school and studying.. But I get bored.. So for anyone else out there.. Enjoy!

Relief Society

So last week I was asked to teach relief society. The regular 4th Sunday teacher is going to be out of town. (its not a new calling its just a one time thing.. Thank goodness!) But I am really freaking out! I have never in my life taught in relief society and I am sure I will probably be doing it again sometime. I just hoped I would be an old lady by the time that came. I like to teach and loved young womens but I feel like a young chick preaching at a bunch of hens. So, anyone got any advice for me?

MY COUSIN IS GRADUATING!

Today I got a graduation announcement from my cousin Lacey. She is graduating next month in nursing. She got an awesome job in Florida at the #5 in the nation hospital for NICU. So she is way excited. I just thought I would share some memories! GREAT JOB "POOH"! Thanks for always being there for me!

GREAT DAY FOR US!

Well,
I just had to post and say today was a great day! Prayers have been answered. The jeep sold. Sad day, but a great day. We really really needed that money so now I am happy! One less stress off my back. The funny thing is we only had one person come and look at it and that person bought it. So we say good buy and pay our thanks: Ode to the jeep! For all the good times, For all the bad times. (when the tire fell off on the interstate and all the times we ran out of gas) and getting us and our uhaul trailor here alive! WE COULDNT HAVE DONE IT WITH OUT YOU! GOODBYE OLD FRIEND...

MOMMY'S LITTLE HELPER

So,
Yesterday Tessa and I were making brownies and I thought I would teach her how to do the eggs. So I held an egg with her as we slightly tapped in against the side of the bowl. Tessa thought that was fun of course and THEN on the third tap, SMASHED IT against the bowl! So as I am trying to dig out massive egg shells from the batter WHEN I saw her stick her tongue out and give her hand a GREAT BIG lick! YEP. A GREAT BIG LICK OF RAW EGG YOKE! YUCK! I about puked all over the floor. We washed her hands right away.. For those of you who don't know. Tessa has been obsessed with putting things in her mouth since she had hand eye coordination. (and yes i have the number for posin control down!) I thought she'd grown out of it, but apparently not yet. Do you think raw eggs are that bad for you?
