First Doctors Appointment

Dallin had his first Doctors appointment yesterday. (two week check up)
He weights 10lbs and 6 oz. He is doing really good. The only concern I had was
a clogged eye duct which has been gooping up. But thats pretty normal the
Dr. says.

Here are some more pictures of us enjoying our new little "milk monster". We call him that because of the great big monster-like grunts he makes while eating. We also call him squeaky because he is always making funny noises. I even had the doctor check his lungs because I was worried he was wheezing or something. Nope. No problems.

Dallin LOVES to listen to Nicks voice.. He always starts looking for him when he enters the room.

Condition Update and Preschool

So the boob saga continues...

Just when I thought things were getting back to normal more problems come up. So I finally started pumping on Thursday and starting breastfeeding again on Friday.. I was really happy and excited because my milk hadn't dried up and Dallin was eating sufficiently. But last night the surgeon called and told me to STOP breast feeding the baby because my mastitis which turned into an abscess was found out to be a staph infection. So the antibiotic I was taking this whole time have been useless.
Anyhow.. Of course I have been emotional this whole time. I am so close to throwing in the towel with this whole breastfeeding thing. But I have another doctors appointment Monday and we will know for sure if I can even breast as an option. Until then you'll have to be entertained with......

TESSA'S FIRST DAYS OF PRESCHOOL!!
(first day-a bit grumpy about the usual need to be dressed early in the morning)
(second day- much better! Excited to ware her backpack)

Tessa LOVES preschool! She always runs into the house screaming (excitedly) for me to see her pictures/art work/projects from preschool! And her preschool teacher says she is doing awesome! Listens well and picks up toys good. I love preschool too! A need break to my crazed and sleepless new mommy days!

Grandma and Mastitis

So, I just wanted to give a quick update..
My mom came out last week to visit and help with the baby and boy was I glad she did! I got mastitis really bad-chills, fever, exhaustion-the works! I got on antibiotics really fast but it didn't seem to help so i went to the doctor and found out it had turned into an abscess. It was nasty painful and so they had to make and incision and drain the infection. Talk about excruciating. I have NEVER in life experienced anything more painful! So that was yesterday, my mom left and I am now on the mend. I cant breast feed on that side and so i have been using formula and trying to keep him satisfied on just one side. Nick is in finals too, so bad timing.. but I am doing better. Trying to be patient to see if the wound will heal so i can try to breast feed again. Dallin is a champ though. He eats great, whatever I put in front of him. I cant wait until tomarrow and the last final is over!

LOOK WHO FINALLY DECIDED TO COME....

yep! He's here!

Dallin Nicholas Blair
8lbs 5 oz
21 1/2 inches long

He's our BIG BOY!

My water broke at home (actually right here where I am sitting! I was scooting my chair up to check my email and blog a bit and POP!) So this was at 6pm on Sunday August 3rd-my actual due date. But I had him August 4th at 12:09am.. Everything went great I had an easy labor and delivery 2 pushed and there he was.. The doctor on call was really nice and the nurses so i felt at ease. Now I'm happy to be home and resting! Isn't he just so cute? So who do you think he looks like?

When Tessa first saw Dallin she said, "oh how cute". Then we had her open some presents up from him and she kept saying, "Thank You Dallin". One of her gifts was a doll with bottles. When it was time for me to feed Dallin I said to her "now you feed your baby and I'll feed mine".. She looked at me puzzled and said," No mom I want that one" and pointed to Dallin. It was so funny! Man what was I thinking?? of course she wants to feed the real one!

Here Nick is multitasking.... holding Dallin and sucking in some test material. Poor Nick hes got a nasty week ahead of him with practicals, tests papers due and finals next week! But he still helps me out!
